From 22 to 23 November, James Holness, Dean of International Partnerships and Program Management of Swansea Universityo, Guo Yuzheng, professor of College of Engineering of Swansea University, and Wang Songbai, COO of NECC China, paid a two-day visit to GZU.
They were received by vice president Zhang Qin, and representatives of such departments as Office of Teaching Affairs, Office of Student Affairs, Office of Finance, Office of International Relations, College of Civil Engineering, ect.
James Holness talked about the development of his university and subjects, suggesting that his visit is to search for future cooperation in a bid to boost education of students for a win-win results.
Hong Yun, director of Office of International Relations of GZU, offered a detailed introduction of international joint educational projects from perspectives of teachers, teaching materials, teaching sites as well as facilities. She hoped that both sides could act actively to translate cooperative projects into reality.
The latter half of the meeting was focused on the detailed discussion of joint projects. James Holness and others went to relevant colleges to attend symposiums, covering topics like curriculum, credits, etc. They also paid a visit to professional laboratories, training centers and scientific parks on campus.
