On March 14, a delegation from University of Lincoln headed by deputy vice chancellor Toby Wilkinson and vice president Libby John visited Guizhou University, signing a bilateral cooperative agreement. They were met at the No.1 Meeting Room of the Administration Building on the North Campus by executive vice-president Wang Honglei and representatives from Office of International Relations, Teacher’s Office, College of Life Sciences, College of Tourism and Culture Industry, etc.
Wang briefed the delegation the history, academic construction and foreign exchanges of GZU, adding that with international exchanges being a priority, GZU has established cooperative relations with hundreds of colleges, universities and research organizations. He was optimistic about the cooperation with University of Lincoln, praising it a renowned research university with prolonged cultural history and fast-growing vitality.
Toby Wilkinson said the bilateral cooperation would inspire more academic achievements, and Libby John suggested more cooperative programs could be covered beside tourism and culture, like forestry and plant sciences.
To further detail bilateral cooperative programs, a GZU delegation would visit University of Lincoln by April.
