Early on November 17, the HK Delegation of Big Data visited GU, met by vice-president Li Junqi. This delegation of over 30 members was headed by Chendong, deputy director of Central Government's Liaison Office in Hongkong, and Hong Weimin, president of Internet Professional Association and executive chairman of Chinese Big Data Association.
Li introduced the subject structure, staff team, research direction and programs of GU’s big data, adding that GU would proceed from the reality of big data industry to build a comprehensive industry-university-research system, and thus to nurture a batch of big data talents for Guizhou Province and China as a whole.
Hui Ruizhang, associate professor from College of Big Data and Information Technology, introduced his research team, cooperative research program with Cyberspace Administration of Guizhou and the ongoing Smart Court program.
Hong would like to learn from Guizhou’s experience in big data industry and looked for more cooperation, in the hope that it would help Guizhou’s big data industry “going global”.
