Former Japanese Prime Minister Visited GZU
On Dec. 21, 2009, Mr. Hata Tsutomu, former Japanese Prime Minister, headed a delegation of 19 (including his wife and other officials from Japanese House of Representatives) for a visit to GZU.

During the visit, Mr. Hata Tsutomu was conferred the title of “Honorary Professor of GZU”. Mr. Feng Xiaolun, Vice President of GZU chaired the ceremony. President Chen Shuping read the announcement and sang high praise for Mr. Hata Tsutomu for his important role in promoting Sino-Japanese friendship. Ms. Long Chaoyun awarded him the certificate, and student representatives presented him flowers and GZU badge.
Mr. Hata Tsutomu accepted the title with great pleasure. He, together with Ms. Long Chaoyun unveiled the nameplate of GZU Japanese Research Institution. Mr. Hata Tsutomu presented the Institution a board with his own inscriptions of “温故 创新” on it. Mr. Takamuratsuto, an official from Japanese House of Representatives, delivered a speech. The visit ended with group photos and reception dinner.
