On March 7, Guizhou University (GZU) celebrated International Women's Day with a "Fitness Walk" event for female staff members on the West Campus. Yang Wei, Secretary of CPC GZU Committee, along with Deputy Party Secretaries Luo Changjiang and Zhang Jie, attended the event.

In her opening remarks, Yang Wei highlighted the essential role of female staff at GZU and acknowledged their major contributions. She encouraged participants to replicate the enthusiasm and energy displayed at the event in their professional lives, to strengthen their skills and commitment, and to contribute to the university's high-quality development.

After her speech, the university leaders signaled the start of the event. Organized by the GZU Trade Union, the walk began and ended at Yuehu Square. The 4-kilometer route circled the West Campus, passing notable locations such as the School of Architecture and Urban Planning and Mingjun Building. Over 400 female staff members took part in the event.
