On the afternoon of January 2nd, Guizhou University held a farewell ceremony for the medical support team of Guizhou Provincial People's Hospital for the work of covid-19 epidemic prevention and control in Xianzheng Building, West Campus. It was hosted by Zhang Dalin and attended by representatives of Guizhou Provincial People's Hospital, GZU Party Secretary Li Jianjun, President Song Bao’an, Vice Presidents Zhang Dalin and Wu Pan.

At the ceremony, Li Jianjun and Song Bao’an presented pennants and honorary certificates to the medical team respectively, and expressed their sincere gratitude to all members of the medical team.

Li Juan, the leader of the medical team of Guizhou Provincial People's Hospital, said that the medical support task could not be the successful completed without the support of Party Committee of both sides as well as the support of all GZU faculties and students. During the epidemic prevention and control, every GZU staff and student showed strong sense of responsibility in fulfilling the duties and fighting the epidemic, which greatly guaranteed the high efficiency and high quality of epidemic prevention and control work. She also hoped the two sides could further deepen cooperation and seek common development

In September this year, when Guiyang faced the most severe epidemic situation, Guizhou Provincial People's Hospital quickly sent more than 70 medical experts and medical staff to Guizhou University to fight the epidemic. The team aided GZU to complete 22 rounds of nucleic acid testing with more than 1.1 million people, which was such a great help and support for GZU to win the fight against Covid-19 epidemic and to ensure the safety and stability of the campus.
