On March 2, 2021, the Award Ceremony for Outstanding Achievements in Scientific Research of Higher Institutionsin 2020 (Humanities and Social Sciences)was held by the Ministry of Education through a video conference. Mr. Luo Changjiang, deputy secretary of the University Party Committee, a number of teachers and students, and the award recipients from Guizhou University attended the video conference together from the university’s Conference Hall.

During the ceremony, Education Minister Chen Baosheng delivered a speech and presented the awards to the winners. Two professors of GZU won the third prize for their achievement in the field of Economy and Educational Administration. The two professors are Professor Hong Mingyong, the college’s dean, and Professor An Shi’ao from the College of Public Administration.

Award-winning representatives from Peking University, Beijing Normal University, Fudan University, Wuhan University, and leaders from the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government and Renmin University of China delivered speeches.

The award aims to promote research in the social sciences in accordance with Xi Jinping’s Thoughts on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era,as well as his ideas concerning the development of social science and education.
